Nos visita Susan Spicer. Susan Spicer in our kitchen, brotherhood.

Susan Spiecer y unos compatrioras suyos nos han visitado hoy para conocer y degustar algunos de los platos más representativos de la gastronomía donostiarra.

Después de visitar el mercado de la Bretxa y nuestras instalaciones han recibido una clase magistral de Iker Uranga. Han podido preparar, conocer y degustar: kokotxas al pil pil, almejas en salsa verde, arroz con almejas, merluza en salsa verde y pantxineta.

Susan Spicer es una prestigiosa cocinera de Nueva Orleans, propietaria de varios restaurantes, un mercado y una panadería. Ha recibido numerosos premios y reconocimientos y en 2009 participó en la final  del programa de televisión de Bravo Top Chef.

En 1990, junto con su socia Regina Keever abrieron el restaurante Bayona (restaurante de 4 estrellas).

Susan Spicer together with some other Us citizens have visited our premises in orther to know and taste some of San Sebastian most important dishes.

After a short visit to our "Bretxa market" and to our "Cofradía", our Chef, Iker Uranga has introduced them to:

- Donostia-style kokotxas

- green sauce clams.

- hake in green sauce.

- pantxineta

Susan Spicer is a New Orleans-based chef,  who owns several  restaurants in that city, including a take-out food market which doubles as a bakery. She has received several awards, and appeared in the 2009 finale of the Bravo television program Top Chef.

Currently she has a partnership with Regina Keever, and together they opened Bayona in 1990, a four star restaurant.
